We do grow the peaches! We farm on 300 acres and grow over 80 different varieties of peaches that start in late April and ripen until the end of September.

A good rule of thumb is Mother’s Day to Labor Day. Some times we begin harvest as early as April and finish as late as the end of September.

Peaches are available everyday at our store in Fairfield. They are available a few days a week at our roadside locations. You can find the peaches in some grocery stores like Central Market, Whole Foods, and Brookshire Brothers. A few farm-market stands and stores also buy and re-sale our peaches.

Freestones ripen toward the end of June (June 21st give or take a few days) and stay in harvest through August.

Freestone is when the flesh of the peach comes completely off the pit. These ripen toward the end of June through August. Clingstones, meaning the flesh of the fruit clings completely to the pit are harvested May through mid-June.

While we are not certified organic, the crop is minimally treated. We do treat our crop to protect it from disease, bugs, etc. when it becomes vulnerable, but do not follow a spray schedule. The peaches are 100% non-GMO.

Cooper Farms peaches are picked firm. This means they are ready to harvest, but not overly ripe. This is best for us and you! It allows us to get the peaches to market and for you to travel or get them home. Keep the peaches cool in transportation (NO TRUNKS). As soon as they get to their destination, spread them out of the bag or box at room temperature. Peaches will last 4-6 days at room temperature and up to 2 weeks refrigerated, But you HAVE to keep them spread out.

We sell in 1/2 bushel boxes (average weight 25 pounds), peck boxes (average weight 12 pounds), and smaller bags as well.

Roadside locations are open 8AM-3PM unless we sell out sooner. The store is open from 7AM-9PM. We never sell out of peaches (while in peak season) at the store! Hours, remain the same, even on holidays.

The store is open year-round, even when peaches are not in season. We only open the roadside locations if we have peaches.
